Pump N’ Run (April 19th-21st 2013 - Minneapolis, MN)

Pump N’ Run (April 19th-21st 2013 - Minneapolis, MN) 3-1 tournament record, 7-2 overall record
ALL TOURNAMENT TEAM: Kevin McKiernan, Prior Lake
MN Fury Ramey came on strong again in this tournament, going undefeated in their pool by defeating MN Basketball Academy Whittus 68-61 and the defeating Iowa Pump N’ Run 62-50. The first game in the championship bracket was against Wisconsin Blizzards, a feisty defensive team that knew how to play the game of basketball.  For the MN Fury Ramey, the word of the first half was cold.  Scoring only 12 points in the first half, a season low for points scored in a half, they trailed the WI Blizzard 23-12 at half time.  The second half proved a different story as Kevin McKiernan came on strong, scoring all 14 of his points in the 2nd half, including 3 three point shots made.  While this flurry and the defensive effort kept MN Fury Ramey in the hunt for the win, the poor first half took its toll as the comeback lost its momentum and Fury Ramey fell to WI Blizzard, 48-43.  Kevin McKiernan (Prior Lake, 5’9”) led all scorers with 15.  In the consolation game, Fury Ramey took down an athletic Phenom team in routine fashion, 61-45.  Austin Heidecker (Prior Lake, 6’3”) led all scorers with 16 points.
Though not advancing in the championship bracket, Fury Ramey still had a good showing, finishing 3-1 overall.
